As you may have noticed, the Directors UK blogs have been a hive of activity of late. Members are sharing their often insightful and candid views with both each other and the general public, which, for those interested in the directing craft, are not to be missed.

Recent posts have been created by the likes of Charles Sturridge, Paul Unwin, and members such as Phil Grabsky and Nigel Cole, who have been writing daily updates over the course of a week for the site. Nigel enlightened readers on the difficulties of juggling two projects at once and the highs and lows of the edit suite, whilst Phil has been keeping us informed of his current film tour around Australia.

We have a host of other great names lined-up to provide weekly blogs in the near future, which will continue to sit alongside posts from other members. If you want to know more about the day-to-day work of a director, find out members’ views on industry matters, and see what excites, interests and infuriates those we represent, then the Directors UK blogs should be your first port of call.

Reading blogs

To read those blogs available to non-members, simply follow these steps:

• Access the Directors UK homepage (www.directors.uk.com);
• Click the Blogs tab on the Directors’ Cut box on our homepage (to the left of the Twitter feed);
• Access the blog you wish to read.

If you're a member, you can do the following:

• Login to the Members' area of the site by clicking Sign In at the top of the Directors UK homepage (http://www.directors.uk.com) and insert your login details;
• Click the Members Blogs tab next to My Followers on the Members' homepage (the screen you're taken to once you have logged in)
• Open the blogpost you wish to read
