MEMBER SERVICES PROJECT MANAGER

Directors UK is the professional association for film and television directors. It is a collecting society, administering authorial rights payments on behalf of British film and television directors, and a campaigning body seeking to protect and enhance the creative, economic and contractual rights of directors. Directors UK hosts events, screenings and workshops for members. We are looking to recruit a Member Services Project Manager to join the team at our Central London office. 

The duties of the Member Services Project Manager will include the following:

  • To project manage the development and delivery of training and mentoring schemes run by Directors UK.
  • Manage relationships with training partners, funding partners, trainers, production companies and candidates.
  • Identify future training opportunities develop proposals, partnerships and pitch for funding.
  • To develop and project manage Directors UK regional activity for members, including recruiting regional reps and supporting their activity.
  • Setting up and overseeing regional hubs including events, training and networking in regions outside London.
  • Relationship building with key individuals, production companies and industry groups in the regions.

Essential Qualities

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Stakeholder and partner relationship management skills. 
  • A good general knowledge of project planning, budgeting and general administration.
  • Well organised and flexible in your approach to work.
  • Able to work to deadlines and cope with periodic increases in workload.

Desirable Qualities

  • Training experience is useful but not essential.
  • Experience of community building and outreach work is useful but not essential.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in film or television production is desirable.

Terms of employment:

Salary:  £40,000 pa.  Initial 6/12 month contract

Hours:  Office hours for this role are flexible as you will be required to work across the UK including evenings and occasional weekends.

Holidays: 25 days per year (plus all public and bank holidays)
