Regional Roadshow: Glasgow

14 March 2012

Directors UK CEO Andrew Chowns and members of the DUK Board and staff will be on the road in March with a series of meetings for members and non-members at venues throughout the UK.

These meetings will be an opportunity for directors to hear about our current Directors UK projects including the new Creative Rights Agreement with the BBC, the Film Policy Review and Film Directors Contracts, ITV pay negotiations and the UK Rights Agreement. It is also going to be an important opportunity for you to talk about the issues that are crucial for you and your nation or region.

Andrew Chowns says: “These meetings will help us to be sure that we listen to all our members throughout the UK and understand your concerns and aspirations. It’s vital we communicate with all directors about the work we are doing and the policies that we are supporting."

Members will be given priority but non-members will be welcome to attend, space permitting.

Details of the date and venue are as follows:

Wednesday 14th - GLASGOW
Venue: BBC Scotland, Pacific Quay, Glasgow, G51 1DA

Thank you so much to Victoria, Tom and Andrew for organising and being at the meeting. It was the first one I have managed to get to and it didn't disappoint. Some great discussion topics and very well lead by Andrew, Tom and Victoria, sorry I had to dash off with out saying a proper goodbye and thank you. One of the main themes that came out of the evening was the sense and feeling that as Directors we didn't have a community in Scotland, something I agree with. If there is any interest in moving that on a little bit, i am very happy to try and organise an informal get together, with or with out a speaker. Let me have your thoughts. David
