APPLY NOW: You the Brand — with Alec McPhedran

In the creative sector, you are your brand. The way you behave influences what others feel about you. Are you an inspirational director, or someone who others are less keen to work with?

This webinar — delivered by experienced industry coach Alec McPhedran — explores the power of personal branding, and how your behaviour can determine the impression you make in the industry.

About the session

People often build new production teams by typically selecting people they know and have likely worked with before. Sub-consciously, part of that selection criteria is how people make them feel. An enthusiastic runner, an imaginative DoP, or an empathetic casting director.

In this online session, topics will include:

  • What is your ideal personal brand?
  • Reflecting on others
  • The importance of behaviour
  • Developing your brand
  • Let’s be honest
  • Open forum

The webinar will take place on Wednesday 17 June, lasting one hour. Exact timing to be announced.

How to apply

Please email Directors UK at [email protected], including the following:

  • An up to date CV
  • A personal statement detailing why you would like to take part in this session, and what you would hope to gain? Eg. How would you like to improve and develop your brand? What does the importance of behaviour mean to you?

The deadline for applications is Monday 1 June.

Before you send your application through, we recommend you read our Career Development team's application tips.
