Reading time: 1 minutes and 0 seconds

BAFTA is now accepting short film entries for next year's Film Awards. The categories are open exclusively to British productions of less than 40 minutes in duration and this year, for the first time, non-fiction films are eligible for entry in both awards. Both awards are open to British productions only, of no more than 40 minutes in duration. As of this year, non-fiction films are also eligible. Short live-action films must have been screened or accepted onto the programme of at least one of BAFTA's recognised festivals, the list of which can be found pdf here (43 KB). This rule does not apply to short animated films.

The deadline for submissions is 12:00 GMT on Wednesday 30 October. The full eligibility criteria and timetable for British Short Film and British Short Animation can be found pdf here. To enter, please click here.
