BBC Scotland is on the hunt for new television drama directors to take part in its forthcoming scheme, entitled Scotland Directs.

According to BBC Scotland, the initiative is “for directors ready and able to make the leap into filming television drama but currently with no broadcast television drama directing experience.”

"Up to six candidates will be offered the opportunity to take part in a four-day series of workshops, delivered by professionals currently working in continuing drama, designed to deliver hands-on insights into the challenge of shooting TV drama.

"From this group, two shortlisted candidates will be chosen to further their experience as part of a five-week long director shadowing placement later in the year on a BBC Scotland drama."

Applications are required by the 24th of next month. To read the full statement from BBC Scotland, and to find out if you are eligible for a place, click the Download link below.
