The Directors Charitable Foundation was formed in 2015 when the three UK organisations which support directors in theatre, film and television joined forces to set up a new charity. The Foundation draws on the experience and resources of the Directors Guild Trust, Directors UK and Stage Directors UK. A Board comprised of representatives from all three constituent organisations guides the work of the Foundation.

There is no deadline for applications. Award decisions are made on a rolling basis.
