Directors UK members bring home BAFTA Scotland 2017 directing awards

The winners of the BAFTA Scotland 2017 awards were announced on Sunday 5 November at a Glasgow ceremony, where Directors UK members took home awards in both the Factual and Fiction directing categories.

Danny Boyle was the recipient of the Best Director – Fiction award for T2 Trainspotting, which also won in the Best Feature Film and Best Actor – Film categories. Louise Lockwood won the Best Director – Factual award for Fair Isle: Living on the Edge, which was also nominated for Best Features and Factual Series.  

Meanwhile, Armando Iannucci was presented with award for Outstanding Contribution to Film and Television. The award was presented to him by Peter Capaldi and featured a video tribute from past collaborators including Steve Coogan, Michael Palin and Rebecca Front

Members were also recognised for their work in multiple non-directing categories. You can read a full list of nominees and winners here.
