High-end TV needs high-end talent: Edinburgh TV Festival panel

Reading time: 59 seconds

Back in August, Directors UK CEO Andrew Chowns and director Christiana Ebohon-Green appeared on a panel at the Edinburgh International Television Festival, discussing the industry’s need for high-end TV talent.

The panel discussed the importance of nurturing, developing and funding the best high-end TV drama talent, and explained what executives can do to find that talent in the first place. Andrew also announced our expanded High-End TV Drama Directors Mentoring Programme, making use of the Creative Skillset HETV Skills Levy.

Joining Andrew and Christiana on the panel were Ben Holt, Deputy Head of Production at Kudos, and producer Paul Gilbert. The session was moderated by Wayne Garvie, Chief Creative Officer, International Production at Sony Pictures Television.
