Challenge ALEXA screenings play to packed house

Reading time: 1 minutes and 3 seconds

Last Sunday (3rd March) saw the official screening of this year's Challenge ALEXA short films at BAFTA, made by Directors UK members with the Arri ALEXA, and shot solely with Anamorphic lenses.

Cast and crew from the ALEXA films joined Directors UK members in the packed out BAFTA bar beforehand, before the screenings begun around 8pm. In total, there were seven short films screening, which were as follows:

The Dartmoor Killings - Feature Trailer, by Peter Nicholson Dead Lock - Short, by Stuart Wealands Recession - Short, by Beryl Richards Close to Heaven - Short, by Martin Denham Epitaph - Short, by Amy Coop Be Yourself - Advertisement, by Richard Elson H.R.M/Gonna Start a Riot - Music Video, by Siofra Campbell

The films, encompassing a range of genres, ably demonstrated the ability of the camera and the Anamorphic lenses, and were each met with huge applause from the audience. All in all, the evening was a great success, and one we hope to repeat next year. Photos from the event are reproduced below - if they are not showing up on your device, please click here.
